Reading your child’s weekly progress report

Where to find the weekly report in the OlympAI app, what each line means — days practised, questions answered, answered correctly, most improved — how to read the subject breakdown, and what to do with it in ten minutes a week.

Your child’s weekly report is in the OlympAI app under Profile → For parents → Parent report, and it answers four questions: how many days they practised, how many questions they answered, how many they got right, and which topic improved most. It is on the free plan. Read it once a week, in about ten minutes, and use it to choose one thing to practise next.

Where do I find the weekly report?

Every Sunday evening you get a short summary of your child’s week on WhatsApp or email — days practised, questions answered, % correct and the most-improved topic — with a link to the full report in the app. It is sent for any week your child practised. To open the full report yourself, go to Profile in the app and tap Parent report under For parents. The weekly card at the top is headed “Week of …” and has buttons to step back to earlier weeks. If you have more than one child on the account, pick the child first.

What do the lines on the weekly card mean?

Days practised is how many days that week your child practised at all. Questions answered is the total for the week. Answered correctly is the share they got right that week. Most improved names one topic and its accuracy before and after. A line appears only when there is enough data for it, so a short week may show fewer lines.

  • Days practised matters more than any other line. Four short days beat one long one.
  • Questions answered tells you effort, not ability. Compare it with last week, not with other children.
  • Answered correctly is this week’s accuracy. A dip during a week of new chapters is normal.
  • Most improved is the line to say out loud to your child. It names something that got better.

Why are there two different accuracy figures?

The weekly card’s Answered correctly is this week only. The Accuracy in the This week so far strip below it is your child’s overall figure across all their practice. When you want to know how this week went, read Answered correctly.

How should I read the subject breakdown?

It lists each subject with the questions answered and the accuracy. Look for a subject with very few questions before you look at accuracy: a subject your child has not practised is a bigger gap than one where they practise and make mistakes. Below it, a seven-day bar chart shows which days practice happened.

What should I do with the report each week?

Pick one thing: the subject with the fewest questions, or a chapter your child found hard. Agree a small target with your child, such as one practice quiz in that subject on three days. On the free plan that is well inside the allowance of 3 quizzes a day in every subject.

What if the report shows a quiet week?

The card says so plainly and asks whether something got in the way. Treat it as a question, not a verdict: ask your child what happened before planning more practice. The Share weekly report button at the bottom of the page lets you pass the week on, for example to the other parent.
